Are you an aspiring or new Head of Geography?

Are you a new head of department or are you aiming to make promotion to head of department very soon? Do you have a relentless drive to improve the quality of teaching and learning in your department? This day of CPD will help you to focus on the key issues facing heads of geography, top up your skills and share your own experiences of how you can move your department's geography teaching beyond good and outstanding to memorable.

10.00 to 12.00 Embedding GIS and Google Earth into KS3 lessons and schemes

12.00 to 12.30 Putting Careers Education into the Curriculum

12.30 to 13.00 Lunch will be provided

13.00 to 13.30 Raising the profile of geography and numbers at GCSE and A Level

13.30 to 14.00 Evaluation of the Action Plan for Geography and a resources/ideas swap shop.

14.00 to 15.00 Ofsted: getting your department from good to outstanding
