This is a great way to see whether there are other CGeogs in your area, and what other people are doing to develop their career as geographers. You can also search for CGeogs in your area here

Newsletters
All Chartered Geographer (Teachers) and Chartered Geographers who are teachers from pre 2006 will be sent a regular update newsletter by email. These will then be posted on this page. If you are a CGeog and do not currently receive this newsletter but think it may be relevant to you, please email cgeogteacher@rgs.org to be added to the mailing list.

How can you help us?
As a CGeog there are a variety of ways you can support us in expanding the network. If you are interested in helping with any of the activities below please email Claire at cgeogteacher@rgs.org

  • Mentoring aspiring CGeog (Teachers) (see Becoming a Mentor page)
  • Attending regional CPD network events (see Regional CPD Opportunities page)
  • Encouraging colleagues to apply for the accreditation
  • Supplying us with quotes and/or pictures for us to use on the website
  • Offering advice as to what further information and advice we can offer
  • Ensuring you use your CGeog post nominal where possible
  • Keeping up to date with your Fellowship and annual CGeog administration fees
  • Emailing through your previous year's CPD log in January of each year (an email reminder will be sent)
  • Helping with resource writing / focus groups / consultancy
  • Running your own CPD network
